The Pit to host two mud bogs in 2010

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at VMS will host two mud bogs in 2010 with the first being the 2nd Annual Mud Mayhem Saturday June 19th and the final one being the 6th Annual Run A Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling on Saturday October 2nd. The Run A Muck date has Saturday October 9th rain date established. Both events will featue our state of the art 200-foot Mud Bog and Mud Sling pits. There will be seven classes in action ranging from street to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes.

Fans will get to see hordes of trucks splashing through the 200 foot Mud Bog pit and also will get the opportunity to see some of the regions best Mud Dragsters covering the 200 foot Mud Sling pit in under three seconds.

Gates and registration will open at 8am with Single Eliminations for Stock A, B; Modified A, B, C along with X, XX and Unlimited Bog classes beginning at 12 noon. Registration and inspection for Stock, Modified and Unlimited Bog classes ends at 11:30pm with X and XX Unlimited ending at 1pm. Rules for each class are now available at the speedway’s website www.thepitatvms.com.

Admission for the Mud Bog and Mud Sling is adults – $12, children 7 – 17 years old – $10 and children 6 and under FREE.

Competitors should print off draw sheets and driver information sheets that must be filled out before going through for inspection.

The Pit at VMS is located on the grounds of Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway and is situated on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA. The Speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads area.
