Record Crowd for 7th Annual Run A Muck Mud Bog And Mud Sling

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 7th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River / Rappahannock Tractor, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Davis Off Road, Monster Energy Drink, NAPA of King William, Truckin Thunder and ORI of Richmond this past Saturday October 1st to a record crowd.

The event also boasted another large field of competitors featuring not only some of the areas top mud trucks in a very tough mud pit but also the very popular 1500 horsepower mud dragsters in the mud sling pit. If that wasn’t enough the fans were also treated to an awesome monster truck freestyle show by Equalizer and fans also witnessed the first performance of Dennis Anderson’s King Sling at a track other than Anderson’s own Muddy Motorsports Park.

The Mud Mayhem Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by Rappahannock Tractor and the Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Davis off Road, ORI of Richmond, Truckin Thunder, Collision One, NAPA of King William, and Monster Energy Drink drew a large crowd and nice field of competitors at the state of the art mud bog facility in Jamaica, VA.

Mud Mayhem Mud Bog huge success at “The Pit” at VMS

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the first of two Mud Bog and Mud Sling’s for the 2010 season this past Saturday June 19th. The Mud Mayhem Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by Rappahannock Tractor and the Virginia Army National Guard drew a large crowd and huge field of competitors at the state of the art mud bog facility in Jamaica, VA.

The sunny temperatures and sunny skies provided a tremendous day for mud bogging with track records being set in two of the eight divisions. 92 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 142 completed passes.

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 5th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by Rappahannock Tractor, Chandler Chevrolet and ORI of Richmond this past Saturday October 3rd to a large crowd and enthusiastic crowd.

“The Pit” at VMS survives Mother Nature to the delight of the competitors and fans

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the second of three Mud Bog and Mud Sling this Saturday August 22nd presented by Rappahannock Tractor, Chandler Chevrolet and ORI of Richmond to a very wet crowd and large field of competitors. But the downpours didn’t deter a nice crowd and the 109 competitors that made it out to The Pit at VMS. The rain did have keep the X an XX Mud Dragsters form making any runs as officials deemed it unsafe for the classes to run.

Overall 109 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit.

First Mud Bog Huge Success

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the first of three Mud Bog and Mud Sling this past Saturday June 20th presented by Rappahannock Tractor, Chandler Chevrolet and ORI of Richmond to a large crowd and huge field of competitors. The day also featured Mud Dragsters covering the mud sling pit in record time.

The sunny temperatures and sunny skies provided a tremendous day for mud bogging. Overall 100 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 139 completed passes.

Winners in each class: Stock A – Neil McClanan in Never Enough; Stock B – Robert Brake in Old Trencher; Modified A – Kenny Crowder in Mr. Nasty Time 2; Modified B – Chuck Engel in Mud Life Crisis (New class track record at 5.817 seconds); Modified C – Chuck Engel in Mud Life Crisis (New class track record at 4.857 seconds); Unlimited Bog – Paul Cohen in Jus Playin (New class track record at 4.212 seconds); X Cuts – Chris Newton in Hostile Projectile; and XX Paddles – Doug Abshire in Alcohol Abuse. In the X Cut class Melvin Deavers in Neighborhood Nuisance took top Nitrous/Injector honors and in the XX Paddle class it was Robert Reese in Odds and Ends taking top Nitrous/Injector honors.
