11th ANNUAL DOWN AND DIRTY RUN-A-MUCK MUD BOG DRAWS HUGE CROWD; THREE TRACK RECORDS BROKE

Jamaica, VA – The 11th Annual Down & Dirty Run-A-Muck Mud Bog presented by James River Equipment and Commonwealth Motorsports drew a huge crowd out for what turned out to be an amazing day of racing. The event saw three division records broken during the days competition. The event was also sponsored by Aaron’s, Atkins Petroleum & Propane, Middlesex Metals, After Hours Fabrication, Collision One and Truckin Thunder. The enthusiastic crowd was treated to some incredible runs in both the mud bog and mud sling pits. After having four records broken during the June 20th Mud Mayhem Mud Bog no one expected to see multiple records tumble again. But when the day was done three division track records were broken with each one coming with a $100 bonus courtesy of the E&E Caulking sponsored Tapole’s Break the Record Challenge. In the Aaron’s Pro Mod B division Denny Kerley in Snoot set a new record with a run of 4.079 seconds. In the Down and Dirty Unlimited Bog division the record was broken three times with Denny Kerley in Snoot setting the final time with a 3.514 seconds. New York’s Kelly Odell in Under Pressure returned from his record setting runs during the June mud bog to lower the record once again in the James River Equipment X Cut division with a blistering 2.089 second run. Overall 86 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 172 registered passes. Winners in each class: Super Stock A – Derek Adkins in Bad Mannerz; Super Stock B – Kyle Slaughter in Step-A-Side; Modified A – Trey Moody in Barely Legal; Modified B – Brian Vick in Pick Pocket; Pro Mod A – Kevin Click; Pro Mod B – Denny Kerley in Snoot; Unlimited Bog – Denny Kerley in Snoot; X Class & XX Class – Kelly Odell in Under Pressure. No one was able to collect on the Atkins Petroleum & Propane “King of the Hill” Double Down Bonus that was offered again to anyone that could win both the A & B classes in the Super Stock, Modified or Pro Mod divisions. Tonya Ricks in Dancin’ with the Devil won the Mud Book Crown presented by Kings of Mud and The Metal Shop. Her combined times in the Unlimited Bog division for both mud bogs was 7.398 seconds was 1.62 seconds better than her nearest competitor. Ricks received $750 and one of a kind trophy. Jamaica, VA – Mother Nature tried to dampen the spirits of those in attendance with cold and rainy weather for 10th Annual Down & Dirty Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River Equipment, the Virginia National Guard and RedNex Sporting at The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway, but everyone in attendance was treated to one of the best shows in the ten year history of the facility. The event was also sponsored by Monster Energy Drinks, Kalbones Speed Shop & Offroad, Aaron’s, Collision One, Atkins Petroleum & Propane, After Hours Fabrication, ORI of Richmond and Truckin Thunder. The great crowd was treated to some great action in both the mud bog and mud sling pits as Ray Atkins of King William, VA in Haulin Gas set a new division track record in the Monster Energy Pro Mod B class with a 4.246 second pass and Chris Newton of Chesapeake, VA in Hostile Projectile set a new division track record in the Virginia Army National Guard XX-Paddle class with a pass of 2.263 seconds, breaking his own record that had stood since 2011. 92 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 218 registered passes. Jamaica, VA — Officials for The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway have released the running order for the 10th Annual Down and Dirty Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River Equipment, RedNex Sporting Goods and the Virginia Army National Guard. Since the June 21st 5th Annual Mud Mayhem Mud Bog the facility has had a major face lift. The facility will now feature two mud bog pits and a sling pit. All pits are still 200 feet long. There will now be a cable pit (Pit 1) that will have the Super Stock and Modified classes running in and a new non-cable pit (Pit 2) that will feature the Pro Mod and Unlimited Bog divisions. As always the sling pit will feature the X-Cut and X-Paddle dragster divisions. Pit 1 will start t 12 noon with the Suepr Stock A Class followed by the Mod A, Super Stock B and then the Mod B classes. Pit 2 will get started at about 1:30pm with the Pro Mod A (Small tire) class. The two pits will run simultaneously from 1:30pm on. One lane will go then the next and so on. This will allow for little downtime and keep our fans excited all day long! Jamaica, VA – With the 10th Anniversary of the Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and The Pit just a few days away officials have released the division payouts. The Super Stock A & B classes will race for $500 to win, $300 for 2nd, $100 for 3rd, $75 for 4th and $50 for 5th. In the Mod A & B divisions they are racing for $600 to win, $400 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd, $100 for 4th and $75 for 5th, In the Pro Mod A & B divisions they will race for $800 to win, $500 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd, $100 for 4th and $75 for 5th. In the Unlimited bog it will pay $500 to win, $200 for 2nd and $100 for third. CAMS Racing Engines (owned by George Coleman) is sponsoring the 4th and 5th place payouts in the Super Stock, Mod and Pro Mod divisions. The X and XX divisions will continue to race for $750 to win, $350 for 2nd and $150 for 3rd. There is an Injector Bonus (Non-Blower Motor) in both classes that pays $300 for the 1st, $200 for 2nd and $100 for 3rd. Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway will host the 10th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, Mud Sling presented by James River Equipment, RedNex Sporting Goods and The Virginia Army National Guard Saturday October 11th featuring a state of the art 200-foot Mud Bog and Mud Sling pits. Additional sponsorship provided by Kalbones Speed Shop and Off Road, Monster Energy Drinks, After Hours Fabrication, ORI of Richmond, Collision One and Truckin Thunder. There will be nine classes of “Mud Maniacs” in action ranging from super stock to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes. Not only will fans get to see hordes of trucks splashing through the “Twin” 200 foot Mud Bog pits but they will also get the opportunity to see some of the regions best Mud Dragsters covering the 200 foot Mud Sling pit in under three seconds. The event will also include a car crushing monster truck freestyle show by Steve Sims in Stone Crusher and Maxey Broadus in Walking Tall. Gates and registration will open at 9am with Single Eliminations for Super Stock A, B; Modified A (Small tire), B (Big Tire), Unlimited Bog, Pro Modified A, Pro Modified B and X, XX classes beginning at 12 noon.
