Jamaica, VA – The first of two mud bogs for the 2024 season is scheduled for Saturday, May 18 as The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosts the 14th annual Mud Mayhem presented by Breezeline and WhosYourDriver.org. The event will feature the competitors of the Premier Mega Truck Racing Series in head-to-head, no time clock racing. Also, scheduled are the Super Stock, pro Stock, Modified, and Pro Mod divisions running the very challenging hill and hole mud pit. There will also be two divisions of Kid’s Power Wheels for the young mudders that are 10 years of age and under. Jamaica, VA – Just when you think you witnessed the biggest event in the facility’s history, The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway steps it up one more notch on the excitement meter. To say officials are excited and anxiously awaiting the running of the 16th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, presented by Breezeline and WhosYourDriver.org, would be an understatement. The Pit is bringing the Premier Mega Truck Racing Series back for some intense head-to-head mega truck racing action, and it will be bigger and better than in May. Jamaica, VA – The biggest mud bog in The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway’s history is Saturday, October 8th. To say that officials are excited and anxiously awaiting the running of the 18th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog presented by Estes Express Lines and Breezeline. For the first time in the Pit’s history, there will be head-to-head mega truck racing. There will be eight “Mud Maniacs” classes competing, ranging from super stock to Mega Truck, with cash payouts in all eight divisions. The Pit will host two of the East Coast’s premier mud bog events. The 13th annual Mud Mayhem will be held on Saturday, May 14th, and the 18th annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog is scheduled for Saturday, October 8th, with a Saturday, October 17th rain date if needed. There will be eleven classes of “Mud Maniacs” in action ranging from super stock to unlimited, with cash payouts in all 11 divisions. Adding to the excitement, the Unlimited X Tractor and Obstacle X divisions will run a newly designed short course of which the divisions will run for time. There will be two Power Wheel divisions for kids that will include a Box Stock Class for kids 6 and under and a Modified class for kids 6 and older. There is a $5.00 entry fee, and all drivers and passengers must wear helmets. In Box Stock, no modifications are allowed, vehicle must be as you got it from the store. In the modified division no gas motors are allowed; all other modifications are allowed (i.e., dual batteries, rubber grip tires, etc.). Jamaica, VA – Officials for The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway have released the 2020 mud bog dates. The 17th annual Mud Mayhem will be held on Saturday, May 1, which is two weeks earlier than in previous years. The Run-A-Muck Mud Bog will once again be on the first Saturday of October, which is October 2. The Cameras of MAVtv will be on hand to film for two Lucas Oil On The Edge shows. “After such a terrible 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic we are excited to be getting back to hosting mud bogs. We wanted to make sure our competitors and fans could mark their calendars for 2021 and be ready for what is going to be another great year of mud bogging,” commented track GM Clarke Sawyer.
