Jamaica, VA – After an exhausting review of weather forecasts that have the outer bands of Hurricane Matthew bringing rain officials have announced that 12th Annual Down and Dirty Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River Equipment and Commonwealth Motorsports has been postponed to next Saturday October 15th. Additional sponsorship for the Run-A-Muck Mud Bog is provided by Aaron’s, Atkins Petroleum & Propane, After Hours Fabrication, Collision One, Northern Neck Chevrolet and Truckin Thunder. On Saturday October 15th there will be ten classes of “Mud Maniacs” in action ranging from super stock to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes. Competitors are encouraged to visit www.thepitatvms.com for the rules packages and payouts. For the first time the Unlimited X Tractor division will be added to the program and become the first division to run a short course for time. Not only will fans get to see hordes of trucks splashing through the 200 foot Mud Bog pit but they will also get the opportunity to see some of the regions best Mud Dragsters covering the 200 foot Mud Sling pit in under three seconds. Gates and registration will open at 9am with single eliminations for Super Stock A, B; Modified A (Small tire), B (Big Tire), Unlimited Bog, Unlimited X Tractor, Pro Modified A, Pro Modified B and X, XX classes beginning at 12 noon. Registration and inspection for all classes ends at 11:30pm. Rules for each class are now available at www.thepitatvms.com. Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway will once again host two spectacular mud bogs in 2016, the 9th Annual Down and Dirty Mud Mayhem on Saturday May 21st and the 12th Annual Down and Dirt Run-A-Muck Mud Bog on Saturday October 8th. Both events will be presented by James River Equipment and Commonwealth Motor Sports. The 9th Annual Mud Mayhem gets a new date for 2016 – Saturday May 21st. With the area’s graduations scheduled for the middle of June it was determined that the event needed to be moved to accommodate fans, competitors and sponsors. The 12th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud bog will continue on it’s familiar second Saturday of October with this year being October 8th. An October 15th rain date has been established for the event. With both mud bogs fans will get to see hordes of trucks splashing through the state-of-the-art 200 foot Mud Bog pit as well as some of the region’s best Mud Dragsters covering the 200 foot Mud Sling pit in under three seconds.
