NEW DIVISION PAYOUTS ARE NOW POSTED!

Jamaica, VA – With the 10th Anniversary season just over a week away with the running of the 5th (should be 6th) Annual Mud Mayhem presented by James River Equipment, VA National Guard and RedNex Sporting Goods on Saturday June 21st, officials have released the new division payouts for 2014. The Super Stock A & B classes will now race for $500 to win, $300 for 2nd, $100 for 3rd, $75 for 4th and $50 for 5th. In the Mod A & B divisions they are now racing for $600 to win, $400 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd, $100 for 4th and $75 for 5th, In the Pro Mod A & B divisions they will race for $800 to win, $500 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd, $100 for 4th and $75 for 5th. In the Unlimited bog it will pay $500 to win, $200 for 2nd and $100 for third. Shear Stylin’ (owned by Julie Waldrop) is sponsoring the 4th and 5th place payouts in the Super Stock, Mod and Pro Mod divisions. The X and XX divisions will continue to race for $750 to win, $350 for 2nd and $150 for 3rd. There is an Injector Bonus (Non-Blower Motor) in both classes that pays $300 for the 1st, $200 for 2nd and $100 for 3rd. 5TH Annual Down & Dirty Mud Mayhem Mud Bog to kick off 10th anniversary season at The Pit June 21st

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway will host the first of two mud bogs for the 2014 season on Saturday June 21, 2014. The 5th Annual Down & Dirty Mud Mayhem presented by James River Equipment, the Virginia National Guard and RedNex Sporting Goods will kick off the 10th anniversary season for The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway. Additional sponsorship provided by Monster Energy Drinks, After Hours Fabrication, ORI of Richmond, Collision One and Truckin Thunder. There will be nine classes of “Mud Maniacs” in action ranging from super stock to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes. For the tenth anniversary season increased purses in all divisions have been posted. This year’s division lineup has also been tweaked. Competitors are encouraged to visit www.thepitatvms.com for the new rules packages and payouts. Not only will fans get to see hordes of trucks splashing through the 200 foot Mud Bog pit but they will also get the opportunity to see some of the regions best Mud Dragsters covering the 200 foot Mud Sling pit in under three seconds. Gates and registration will open at 9am with Single Eliminations for Super Stock A, B; Modified A (Small tire), B (Big Tire), Unlimited Bog, Pro Modified A, Pro Modified B and X, XX classes beginning at 12 noon. Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 6th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River Rappahannock Tractor, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Davis Offroad, Monster Energy Drink and ORI of Richmond this past Saturday October 2nd to a large and enthusiastic crowd. The event also boasted another large field of competitors featuring not only some of the areas top mud trucks in a very tough mud pit but also the very popular 1500 horsepower mud dragsters in the mud sling pit. If that wasn’t enough the fans were also treated to an awesome monster truck freestyle show by Stone Crusher and Mopar Magic. Fans were also were able to take a ride on the Stone Crusher ride along truck. The perfect temperatures and sunny skies provided a tremendous day for mud bogging. Overall 104 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 190 total passes. Winners in each class: Stock A – George Johnson in Gold Digger 2; Stock B – Leslie Newbern in Dragon Fly; Modified A – Kenny Crowder in Mr. Nasty Time; Modified B – Joe Parnell in Blue Demon; Modified C – Joe Parnell in Blue Demon; Unlimited Bog – Joe Parnell in Blue Demon; X Class – Chris Newton in Hostile Projectile; and XX Class – Chris Newton in Hostile Projectile. In his first time to the The Pit at VMS Joe Parnell driving Blue Demon set new track records in the Mod B, Mod C and Unlimited Bog divisions. His 3.997 second run in the Unlimited Bog division was the first sub four second run in the 200 foot pit.
