Jamaica, VA – A new t-shirt design for The Pit is now available for sale. Current sizes available are Adult Large, XL and XXL. For other sizes email a request to info@vamotorspeedway.com. Shirts are $16 plus $6 shipping and handling. Add $2 more for XXL shirts. The shirt color is Ash Gray.

Mud Mayhem Mud Bog huge success at “The Pit” at VMS

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the first of two Mud Bog and Mud Sling’s for the 2010 season this past Saturday June 19th. The Mud Mayhem Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by Rappahannock Tractor and the Virginia Army National Guard drew a large crowd and huge field of competitors at the state of the art mud bog facility in Jamaica, VA.

The sunny temperatures and sunny skies provided a tremendous day for mud bogging with track records being set in two of the eight divisions. 92 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 142 completed passes.

Mud Mayhem Mud Bog and Mud Sling

Jamaica, VA – Mud bog fans get ready for an afternoon of some of the best mud bogging on the East Coast! Weather is going to be beautiful and we are expecting a large truck count.

Admission: Adults – $12; Students 7 to 17 – $10; Children 6 and Under – Free.

Times: Gates open at 8am; Registration for Stock, Modified and Unlimited Bog classes ends at 11am with X and XX Unlimited ending at 1:00pm. Mud bog starts at 12 noon.

16 ” Cooler Welcomed, no glass allowed. There is plenty of permanent seating but only a limited amount of space for fans to put up EZ-Ups. There is no track-side parking. First come first serve.

First of two big Mud Bog events coming Saturday June 19th

There will be seven classes in action ranging from street to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes.

The Pit to host two mud bogs in 2010

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at VMS will host two mud bogs in 2010 with the first being the 2nd Annual Mud Mayhem Saturday June 19th and the final one being the 6th Annual Run A Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling on Saturday October 2nd. The Run A Muck date has Saturday October 9th rain date established. Both events will featue our state of the art 200-foot Mud Bog and Mud Sling pits. There will be seven classes in action ranging from street to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes.

Fans will get to see hordes of trucks splashing through the 200 foot Mud Bog pit and also will get the opportunity to see some of the regions best Mud Dragsters covering the 200 foot Mud Sling pit in under three seconds.

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 5th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by Rappahannock Tractor, Chandler Chevrolet and ORI of Richmond this past Saturday October 3rd to a large crowd and enthusiastic crowd.

The event also boasted another large field of competitors featuring not only some of the areas top mud trucks in a very tough mud pit but also the very popular 1500 horsepower mud dragsters in the mud sling pit. If that wasn’t enough the fans were also treated to an awesome monster truck freestyle show by Instigator.

“The Pit” at VMS survives Mother Nature to the delight of the competitors and fans

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the second of three Mud Bog and Mud Sling this Saturday August 22nd presented by Rappahannock Tractor, Chandler Chevrolet and ORI of Richmond to a very wet crowd and large field of competitors. But the downpours didn’t deter a nice crowd and the 109 competitors that made it out to The Pit at VMS. The rain did have keep the X an XX Mud Dragsters form making any runs as officials deemed it unsafe for the classes to run.

Overall 109 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit.
